About the Service

How do I keep in touch and save money?

It’s important to keep in touch with friends and family when you are away at University, for this reason you will find a telephone handset in your student bedroom. Use this to make calls using our Dog ‘n’ Bone service.
As Dog’n’Bone is a pre-paid service you have complete control on how much you spent, so no surprise bills at the end of the month.  Plus, unlike some other phonecards the rates you see are the rates you are charged with no hidden connection or maintenance charges.  See below to check out our rates

Can I use other phones?

You can use your Dog ‘n’ Bone card from the phone in your student room, your mobile by dialing our 0207 mobile access number, from payphones and from abroad. Depending on your individual mobile tariff, you will normally find it cheaper to call friends and family using our Dog ‘n’ Bone card from your room than using your mobile phone.

Can I connect to the Internet?

Your Dog ‘n’ Bone phone card can also be used to connect to the internet at a flat rate of 2p a minute. There are no connections or monthly charges to pay. See Internet Access for details.

Do I have a personal phone number?

You’ll find a phone in your room which your friends and fellow students will be able to call directly. Your personal phone number is shown on the phone. Make sure you give this number out to everyone so that they can keep in contact with you when you’re in your room.
